Tsukishima Kikai Group's manufacturing technology for lithium-ion secondary battery (LiB) materials was featured in the international edition of the U.S. magazine Newsweek on September 30, 2022.
Tsukishima Kikai Group sells manufacturing equipment for LiB cathode materials (precursors and active materials), anode materials, and electrolytes in Japan and overseas.
Tsukishima Kikai Co., Ltd. particularly excels at cathode material manufacturing equipment, which determines LiB performance.
In the precursors manufacturing process, Tsukishima Kikai Co., Ltd. has references in equipment for crystallization, washing/filtration, and drying.
In the active materials manufacturing process, has references in various equipment for bag opening, weighing, mixing, crushing, washing/filtration, drying, classifying, and filling.
In crystallization, has a Vortex flow crystallizer that continuously produces fine particles with a sharp particle size distribution.
PRIMIX Corporation, a high-speed agitator manufacturer that joined Tsukishima Kikai Group in 2020, owns HIVIS DISPER MIX, which kneads LiB materials in a short period using a three-axis planetary movement.
PRIMIX Corporation also owns the CDM (Continuous Dispersion Mixing) process and equipment (COMBI MIX, FILMIX) for the continuous production of electrode material slurry in the cell manufacturing process.
